Tomorrow, 2010 Paralympic and Olympic athletes will visit with President Obama. They will also make another important stop to Walter Reed Hospital to view the film Warrior Champions and speak to disabled vets about adaptive sports.
Athletes like these show what they can do to motivate soldiers who acquired disabilities in war. Sports not only help soldiers adjust physically and learn what they can do, but heal other wounds, giving them confidence and access to mentors who want to share their experiences with adaptive sports.
